Not historical events?

It says, "They are almost certainly not historical events, however. The Transmission of the Lamp, for example, recounts the following:". This is a non sequitur, as there is nothing in "the following" quote to support the assertion that the stories did not actually happen, unless maybe those people didn't live at the same time, which would need mentioning.

Otherwise I'd remove the words, "for example" or else explain how the quoted story refutes its own historicity. It would be helpful to mention in general why the stories are not considered to have actually happened, if such is the case, no pun intended.173.72.215.144 (talk) 17:59, 30 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
